The Laboratory of Psychodiagnostics of V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University has two thematic subdepartments: the psychodiagnostic subdepartment and the subdepartment of psychophysiology.
Psychodiagnostics subdepartment is engaged in systematization, adaptation, restandardization of psychological tests and design of new tests. Also the practical psychodiagnostic work is conducting and the consulting for correctly using the tests, selecting of psychodiagnostic methods for dealing with different practical and scientific problems.
Subdepartment of psychophysiology is aimed to provide psycho-physiological studies on the diagnosis of functional states, adaptation reserves, psychosomatic problems, neuro-psychological balance of people. We use the methods of Heart Rate Variability analysis, EEG, EMG, ECG, ESA (electrical skin activity), photoplethysmography, respiration and temperature polygraph analysis. The biofeedback and neurofeedback trainings is conducting.Psychophysiological studies include both scientific and practical work to improve stress tolerance, self-control, adaptive potential of adults. Lab equipment has specially designed programs to work with children from 5 years old with sleeping problems, motor activity problems, education and behavior problems, etc.
Laboratory has in its material basis the following equipment:
1) Psychophysiological Telemetric System “Rehacor-T” (Medicom-MTD, Taganrog, Russia).
2) System for biofeedback game and Heart Rate Variability Analysis “BOSLAB” (Novosibirsk, Russia).
We are interested in partners to realize researches in the areas of health psychology, psychophysiology, psychological assessment and evolutionary psychology.
